Motion Picture Development Company This is the business plan narrative and partnership agreement used to engage private financing for motion picture development. Each memorandum includes: (1) Planning and preparation of the company's activity and cash flow projections; (2) Origination and authoring of the development company's plan and offering; (3) Preparation of company history and management biographies; (4) State and federal securities declarations and compliances; (5) Tax commentaries; (6) Partnership Agreement and Certificate; and (7) Offeree questionnaires and subscription documents. For more information please contact us at:development@ebgroup.net Motion Picture Internal Greenlight This constitutes each picture's crucial information upon which studios and major foreign distributors principally base their decisions relative to distribution and related licensing. It includes a breakdown of each picture's campaign elements, at least one :30 second television commercial or theatrical trailer script, the picture's target audience(s) definition, comparable pictures and their campaigns and global earnings, the picture's estimated global gross earnings, the producer's share of these earnings and its relationship to the picture's budget, plus other relative business and creative data. The first step delivers a campaign breakdown, campaign script, a live pitch, preliminary comparative picture and audience composition analyses, and initial global earnings summary. The second step delivers finalized comparable pictures and audience compositions analyses, comparable picture campaigns on VHS, the picture's finalized global liquidation breakdown (including Producers Share and greenlight ratio), and the picture's final global business narrative. Client provides the below- and above-the-line budget estimates. (Entertainment Business Group will prepare the below-the-line budget for approximately $3,000). Click Here for more information. Script Doctoring These are critical writer reconstruction and/or polishing drivers for a script that has elements worthy of development, but is not sufficiently substantive to pass a greenlight. Our team of multi-award winning writers is experienced and successful in a broad story spectrum, and supports producers and writers in any of the following story doctoring relationships. These story consulting services are substantially story- and creative-focused (rather than business-focused), and are centered in: deepening characters with steeper edges and more powerful motivations; creating multiple, complete and tightly woven stories; tightening story beats; escalating dramatic pitch; maximizing comic impact; and intensifying the story's moral arguments. The client directs our script doctors in how they should proceed, and how should they perform any or all of the following services as they are directed. 1. Initial Script Review, Meeting and Report 130 Page Maximum This is the script's first read in its original form, followed by a client and consultant in-person or phone conference (for one to two hours) discussing the script's position and its fix, and delivery of detailed specific and general notes on the following areas: structure, story, character arc, dialogue, mise-en-scene (stage directions or prose), over all execution and other topics critical to the work. These notes are written on the hard copy of the screenplay and additional script notes prepared on an electronic file (preferably Screenwriter), and delivered to the client in both hard copy and electronically during the meeting. |

2. Subsequent Script Review, Meeting and Report 130 Page Maximum (As in "1" above) 3.
Script Review & Report Without Meeting If the screenplay is reviewed by sections, fees will be for that proportional amount of the entire screenplay (one-fourth the screenplay is one-fourth the fee). 4. Hourly unpackaged phone or live story conference Completed Picture Fix This is the reconstruction of the picture, substantially through post production services, but may include rescripting and shooting. The objective is to either (1) maximize its global earnings, or (2) qualify it for earnings in excess of the fixed expenses. The first step in this process is the picture's screening and its simple report. If the picture has a waiting US and/or foreign market in any media, we may recommend a greenlight, followed by sales. If it has a probable market given a straight-forward fix, we will identify this market and recommend proceeding to the second step, below. If the picture appears financially unredeemable, we will report why. (Maximum 3 hour running time, provided on NTSC tape or in a screening facility). The second step is the fix proposal with schedule and budget. This is typically prepared with the support of the original production team who have essential element, contract and availability information. This cost is estimated for each picture and is predicated on the complexity of the fix and the availability of original production elements. The third step is producing the fix. We are the producers during this process, but most often the picture's producer, director and perhaps other creatives participate. We support advancing the craft of the participants during this process, when feasible. The fourth step is selling the picture into the global marketplace, usually during the fix.
